Migration of Teams Channels without a General Channel
Microsoft Teams now allows the creation of Teams groups without a "General" channel. Currently, the Teams Center Migration Tool does not support migrating these new Teams groups. With this feature, it will be possible to migrate Teams channels created without a "General" channel using the Valprovia Teams Center Migration Tool, simplifying migration processes and ensuring compatibility.
Sync Azure AD Groups or Microsoft 365 Groups with Teams or SharePoint Site Collections
Managing individual users in Microsoft Teams or SharePoint Site Collections can be time-consuming and inefficient. With the new feature from Valprovia Teams Center, you can link Azure AD Security Groups or Microsoft 365 Groups to your Workspaces (such as Teams Groups or SharePoint Site Collections). The Teams Center automates the synchronization of changes from Active Directory Groups and Microsoft 365 Groups with your workspaces. This allows you to efficiently manage memberships by assigning different groups for Members and Guests, all of which are kept in sync automatically. This feature significantly reduces the administrative burden of managing workspace memberships.
Enhance Project Collaboration and Security with Custom Roles
The Custom Roles feature in Valprovia Teams Center empowers you to improve project collaboration and ensure secure information sharing within Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Site Collections. In project environments, different roles often require varying levels of access to specific information. With Custom Roles, you can define tailored roles and assign permissions that determine what information each role can access.
For example, a project manager may have access to proposal details, while a project member cannot view this sensitive information. This feature is versatile and can be applied in a variety of scenarios, including project collaboration, intranet management, and document handling within processes like Opportunity-to-Cash. Custom Roles offer flexibility and control, making your teams more productive while maintaining a high level of data security.

Better Collaboration for International Organizations with Language-Specific Support
For organizations operating across multiple countries, there is often a need to provision SharePoint Site Collections in the language of the specific regional office. With this Teams Center feature, you can define multiple languages within a Governance Template and provision SharePoint Site Collections in the selected language. This not only sets the language for the Site Collection but also ensures that all SharePoint Site Collection components are created in the specified language. Additionally, this feature enables Teams Center to define and execute multiple PnP templates tailored for different languages during provisioning, improving collaboration and streamlining processes for international teams.
Separate Permissions for Metadata Editing and Logo Changes
Valprovia Teams Center Governance Templates allow administrators to define who can modify the metadata of a workspace. Currently, restricting metadata editing also prevents users from changing the workspace logo. With this enhanced feature, permissions can be assigned separately. Administrators will be able to allow logo changes while restricting metadata modifications. This improvement provides more granular control over permissions within Governance Templates, empowering administrators to better tailor governance settings to meet organizational requirements.
Greater Flexibility in Permission Management
Teams Center utilizes its own virtual security layer to address the "over-sharing" issue in SharePoint. However, some organizations prefer to use the standard Microsoft Teams permissions. To accommodate these needs, we are introducing support for standard Microsoft security settings in our solution. This enhancement will allow customers to manage SharePoint Site Collections or Teams Groups using either the Teams Center virtual security layer or the standard Microsoft 365 security settings. By offering this flexibility, organizations can choose the approach that best aligns with their governance and security requirements.
Expanded Access Review Capabilities
Currently, Teams Center supports access reviews at the user level, allowing workspace owners to regularly review access to SharePoint Site Collections and Teams Groups. With this feature enhancement, you will be able to conduct regular access reviews for individual documents across your organization. This ensures unwanted access to sensitive documents is avoided. The new Access Reviews feature will support documents within Teams Groups, SharePoint Site Collections, and OneDrive, offering an additional layer of security and compliance. This functionality will be available as an add-on to enhance your access management capabilities.
